What's inside the " Shinncare " Postpartum Box?
The Postpartum Box contains three products for a gentle intimate care routine after childbirth:
- The Flush Bottle to gently cleanse the intimate area with water.
- The Intimate Solution to enrich the water in the Flush Bottle with soothing and nourishing ingredients.
- The Intimate Prebiotic Wash for gentle daily cleansing once the most sensitive first few days have passed.
This box supports your intimate care from the very first days through the weeks following childbirth.
How do you use the Postpartum Box after giving birth?
During the first ten days, fill the “ Flush Bottle ” with lukewarm water and add 10 ml of “ Intimate Solution .” Use this to gently rinse the external intimate area during or after urination.
Starting around day ten, you can use the Intimate Prebiotic Wash for daily external cleansing. Every body heals differently: if you have stitches, complications, or persistent symptoms, always follow the advice of your midwife, gynecologist, or doctor.
How do you use a douching bottle after giving birth?
Fill the Flush Bottle with lukewarm water. During the first ten days, you may add 10 ml of Intimate Solution . Aim the curved nozzle toward the external genital area and gently squeeze the bottle while urinating or immediately afterward.
This allows you to rinse away urine and blood without having to rub the sensitive skin. Afterward, gently pat the skin dry with a soft, clean towel.
Does a rinse bottle help relieve a burning sensation when urinating?
Lukewarm water from a rinse bottle can dilute the urine as you urinate. This means the urine comes into contact with sensitive skin, minor abrasions, or stitches in a less concentrated form. This can make urination more comfortable.
If urination remains very painful, if the pain gets worse, or if you also have a fever or other symptoms, contact your midwife, family doctor, or gynecologist.
Can I use the Postpartum Box if I have stitches, a tear, or an episiotomy?
Flush Bottle , and Intimate Solution are suitable for gentle, external care of the intimate area after a vaginal delivery, even when the skin is extra sensitive due to a tear, abrasions, an episiotomy, or stitches. These products are not a substitute for medical wound care. Therefore, always follow the specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider.
Can I use the Postpartum Box after a C-section?
Yes. Even after a C-section, you may continue to experience vaginal bleeding and discharge from the incision site for a few weeks. The Flush Bottle can help you gently cleanse the external intimate area without causing friction. Do not use these products on the C-section incision unless your doctor specifically advises you to do so.
Can I use the Postpartum Box if I have hemorrhoids after giving birth?
Yes. The " Flush Bottle " and diluted " Intimate Solution " can also be used to gently rinse and care for the anal area when experiencing discomfort from hemorrhoids. Avoid rubbing and gently pat the skin dry. Consult a doctor if you experience severe pain, heavy bleeding, or symptoms that do not improve.
When can I use the Intimate Prebiotic Wash after giving birth?
We recommend using the Flush Bottle and Intimate Solution products during the first, most sensitive days. Starting about ten days after giving birth, you can switch to the Intimate Prebiotic Wash for gentle daily cleansing of the external intimate area.
Use the cleansing lotion only externally and no more than once a day. The vagina itself does not need to be cleaned.
How long can I use the Postpartum Box?
The Flush Bottle and Intimate Solution are primarily intended for the first few days after childbirth, when rinsing may be more comfortable than using toilet paper. You can also continue to use the Intimate Prebiotic Wash afterward as a daily external cleansing lotion.
The postpartum period is generally defined as the first six to eight weeks, but full recovery varies greatly from woman to woman.
Is the Postpartum Box suitable for use while breastfeeding?
Yes, the products are for external use only and can be incorporated into your intimate care routine while breastfeeding. Use the products only as directed and do not apply them to the breasts or nipples.
Is the Postpartum Box a good baby shower gift?
Yes. The Postpartum Box is a practical baby shower gift that focuses specifically on the new mom’s recovery and comfort. The items can be set out in advance in the bathroom or hospital bag so they’re available immediately after giving birth.
When should I seek medical help after giving birth?
Contact a healthcare provider immediately if your bleeding suddenly increases, you develop a fever, you feel sick or confused, the pain gets worse, or a wound has an unpleasant odor. The Postpartum Box supports daily care and comfort, but it is not a substitute for medical follow-up.
