The spiritual father of Shinn does not happen to be a gynecologist with more than 35 years of experience. Over his career, Dirk increasingly received questions about proper care for minor or major intimate discomforts. Lacking quality, effective and responsible products in the market, Dirk decided to develop a solution and have it marketed by his son Karl-Filip. Not much later, the Shinn brand and the first product - the Intimate Oil Spray - were launched.

After several months, daughter Elisabeth and son-in-law Stefaan - both active as gynecologists - joined the Shinn research team. From their practical experience, they search for new products, formulas, and applications together with Dirk. Karl-Filip takes care of all commercial tasks.

Throughout its first year, the Intimate Oil Spray received good feedback and had a lot of applications. The decision was then made to expand the range to include a wider range of products for intimate discomfort or support during or after pregnancy.

Shinn was launched from a humble belief that we can support women to feel as good as possible. We are therefore determined to make the brand a partner in intimate care for life, because every woman, whatever stage of life she is in, deserves to feel comfortable.
