What's included in the " Shinncare " Pregnancy & Recovery Essentials + Pouch?

The pouch contains four skincare products for use during pregnancy and after childbirth:

  • Body Care Oil (100 ml) for dry, tight skin and for caring for areas prone to stretch marks.
  • Peri Oil Spray (50 ml) for perineal massage starting at 34 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Flush Bottle to gently rinse the external genital area with water after giving birth.
  • Intimate Solution (200 ml) to be diluted in the " Flush Bottle " for soothing postpartum care.

The products come together in a cute teddy bear-shaped toiletry bag.

When can I start using the products in the pregnancy pouch?

You’ll use these products at different stages during pregnancy and after childbirth. You can use the “ Body Care Oil ” starting at the beginning of your pregnancy. Starting at 34 weeks, you can add perineal massage using the “ Peri Oil Spray.” The “ Flush Bottle ” and diluted “ Intimate Solution ” are intended for intimate care during the first days and weeks after childbirth (or for gentle care in cases of hemorrhoids).

When should I start using belly oil during pregnancy?

You can start using the “ Body Care Oil ” right from the beginning of your pregnancy. Massage the oil daily into your belly, breasts, hips, buttocks, and upper legs. Regular use helps keep your skin supple and comfortable as it stretches during pregnancy.

Can the Body Care Oil prevent stretch marks?

No skincare product can guarantee that stretch marks will be completely prevented. Their development is influenced by factors such as genetics, hormones, and the rate at which the skin stretches. The Body Care Oil helps moisturize the skin, supports its elasticity, and reduces feelings of dryness or tightness.

When can I start doing perineal massage?

You can usually start perineal Peri Oil Spray s at 34 weeks of pregnancy, unless your midwife, gynecologist, or doctor advises otherwise. The massage helps soften the perineum and makes it easier for your fingers to glide over the skin during the massage.

How do I use the Peri Oil Spray for perineal massage?

Wash your hands and get into a comfortable position. Apply the Peri Oil Spray to the perineum and gently massage the oil in. Then insert one or two thumbs a few centimeters into the vagina and gently apply downward and sideways pressure until you feel a slight stretch. The massage should feel sensitive, but not painful.

Stop if you experience pain, bleeding, irritation, or discomfort, and if in doubt, consult your midwife or gynecologist.

Does perineal massage help prevent tearing or an episiotomy?

Regular perineal massage during the final weeks of pregnancy can help prepare the perineum for the stretching that occurs during vaginal delivery. It cannot completely rule out the risk of severe tearing or an episiotomy. The Peri Oil Spray supports the massage by keeping the skin supple and reducing friction.

What is a Flush Bottle , and why do you use it after giving birth?

A " Flush Bottle " is an ergonomic rinse bottle that allows you to clean your external intimate area with lukewarm water after giving birth. This way, you don’t have to rub toilet paper against sensitive skin, minor abrasions, or stitches as much. Rinsing while urinating can also help reduce the burning sensation caused by contact with urine.

How do I use the " Flush Bottle " after giving birth?

Fill the " Flush Bottle " with lukewarm water. Aim the curved spout toward the external genital area and gently squeeze the bottle while you urinate or immediately afterward. Rinse from front to back, then gently pat the skin dry with a soft, clean towel.

During the first few days, you can use the Flush Bottle in combination with the Intimate Solution according to the instructions.

How do I use the Intimate Solution on the Flush Bottle?

Add 10 ml of “ Intimate Solution ” to a “ Flush Bottle ” filled with lukewarm water. Use the diluted solution to gently rinse the external intimate area. “ Intimate Solution ” is intended for external use only and is not meant to be used undiluted or as a vaginal douche.

Can I use these products on stitches, a small tear, or a cut?

Flush Bottle , and diluted Intimate Solution can be used for gentle, external care when the intimate skin is sensitive due to abrasions, a tear, an episiotomy, or stitches.

Can I use the maternity pouch after a C-section?

Yes. Even after a C-section, you may still experience vaginal bleeding and discharge from the incision for a few weeks. The Flush Bottle can help you gently cleanse the external intimate area without causing friction. Do not use these products on the C-section incision unless your doctor specifically advises you to do so.

Can I use Flush Bottle and Intimate Solution for hemorrhoids?

Yes. The Flush Bottle and diluted Intimate Solution can also be used to gently rinse and care for the anal area in cases of discomfort caused by hemorrhoids during pregnancy or after childbirth. Avoid rubbing and gently pat the skin dry. Consult a doctor if you experience severe pain, heavy bleeding, or persistent symptoms.

Are the products safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding?

The products in the pouch are designed for external use during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Use each product according to the instructions. Do not apply the oils to the nipples or to any area that comes into direct contact with the baby immediately before a feeding. If you have a medical condition, allergy, or a high-risk pregnancy, consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.

Is this maternity pouch a good gift?

Yes. The Pregnancy & Recovery Essentials + Pouch is a practical gift for a pregnant woman or new mom. The products support her self-care routine from pregnancy through the postpartum period and come together in a lovely toiletry bag.

When should I seek medical help after giving birth?

Contact a healthcare provider immediately if you develop a fever, the pain worsens, bleeding suddenly becomes heavier, a wound has an unpleasant odor, or you feel generally unwell. These products support daily comfort and external care, but they are not a substitute for medical follow-up.
